SNSD NEW SINGLE LYRIC: THE BOYS (English Version)

Finally I got this song's official video. This song have two versions, English version and Korean version. Thought they want to debut it as international single. Of course I like the English version better. I heard that some of SNSD members like Tifanny and Jessica were growing up in America, no wonder that their pronunciation here is well...not bad (as you know how bad Korean's English are).

I really like this song and MV that I play it on my GOM again and again. The intro scene is so perfect. Rain of rose petals, all SNSD members catwalking, dressed like princesses, the camera angles are also sooo...excellent. Though then I realized that the beating drum is just like the intro of DBSK's Keep Your Head Down. It's OK, they're still in the same company as well.

However, when I browse google, a blog said that this song is a plagiarism toward a song named Pink Moonson, sang by Sheryl Nome as the soundtrack of an anime titled Macross Frontier. I dunno what's goin on here, whether the rumor is right or just a rumor coz I haven't heard the song (but I'll check it for sure). As we know that these girls had got the same case when they released Geenie song. When I first listened to that song, I definitely thought that it  was absolutely a plagiarism toward an Uzbekistan's song titled Raqsga Tushgin sang by Dineyra. But then my SONE friend said to me that the one who plagiarized was DINEYRA! Because actually Geenie was released ealier than DINEYRA's song. Oh my... However these things are common in musical entertainment business. Enough about the chit-chat. Here's the lyric of their new single. Let's cross our fingers that the last rumor about The Boys is just a rumor.

I'm still checking whether they made some fool grammatical mistake in their English lyric LOL. I remembered when I was so disappointed with KARA's song Pretty Girl. It's a nice song, except the lyric, "If you wanna pretty (should be If you wanna BE pretty), Every wanna pretty (should be everyBODY/everyONE wanna be pretty)." Come on... I can sue the song writers because they have just humiliated those cute girls with their foolishness...LOL You know, if you can't write in English, don't do that! Or at least learn to do that properly. Especially if the works will be published internationally. I won't whine if the grammatical mistakes are there in fanfics LOL.

So far I just found some grammatical mistakes (the lines colored in red). What do you think?

(B-Bring the boys out)

Here are some different perceptions from my SONE friend. He said that what I have mentioned above are not grammatical errors at all. But rather like style of language. Like in the part of  "There ain’t no stopping meindeed it was double negative, but it was used as emphasizing method. And I think, umm...kinda Afro American English???

Then about the part of I’m be what I wanna be, the real context is much to "I might be I wanna be". SO it is correct. Humm??? Then why didn't the writer of the song didn't use the second one? Oh well...usually song lyrics don't need grammar accuracy too much. Some are about cultural context. Maybe kinda slang in there... I dunno...

And the part of we can’t be beat  is a shortened version of "we can't be beaten", the supposed to be.

He said that this song was written by Teddy Riley and assisted by Tiffany, so they must know if there are something wrong in the song. Oh well... The main point is still it's ear-catchy. (I'm learning to write lyrics now, but I still believe that I have to stick to grammar also. So it won't create such misunderstanding among the youths who still learning English. LIKE MEE...)

Forget About Grammar, Then Let's Go Directly to My Opinion About This Song, Purely Based On The Song ^_^

As usual the song is really ear-catchy  and has cheerleader atmosphere. But here SNSD dress no longer as a cute girls but a grown up princesses. I'm so grateful to listen to this song. I thought, "Finally SM released something good". Because somehow I'm not to satisfied with Super Junior's A-Cha and Perfection (sound so Bonamana-like), and B.U.T (Be Au Ty) of DBSK (I cried blood when got to listen the last song. Why the beat and some notation is just like Mr. Simple??? And why does the song seems like have no chords at all but the rhythmic beats? I prefer JYJ's new singles then hiks... )

This is my favorite scene of the MV.

Can't you tell that there's a total change in their looks? That's right, Sunny cut her hair short! OMG! I really like her style. I was not able to recognize her with her new hair cut. I thought SNSD has a new member maybe? LOL... Somehow she looks like umm... some girl of T-Ara maybe? Tee heee... (I'm so obsessed with girls with short haircut, like Minzy and Amber from 2ne1)
